Keep Feeding God’s Sheep :
St. Luke’s 2016 Annual Giving Campaign
Dear St. Luke’s Friends and Family,
As we begin this new annual giving season, we can look back on a year of significant accomplishments. Never before has St. Luke’s mission to “Feed my Sheep” been so far-reaching and so meaningful to so many people. St. Luke’s has made a remarkable difference in many lives—near and far. We are grateful for the generosity of our parishioners, and we look forward to a year of tremendous opportunity and for new ways of sharing our abundance.
Thanks to the very hard work of recent stewardship chairs and the generous support of our parish, St. Luke’s future is brighter than ever. Over the past five years, St. Luke’s has worked steadily toward strengthening its financial foundation, and because of that focus the Church now finds itself in solid financial shape. We now have the freedom to refocus that faithful energy and determination on the future. Attendance and participation is at an all-time high. The Church hums with activity throughout the days and evenings - with both parishioners and with others who want to learn more about our ministries. Our Sunday announcement bulletin is full every week with new programs and initiatives. The pews are fuller, and the Sunday School room is busy with young children learning lessons about Jesus, gratitude and service. Our extraordinary choir and organ fill the Church and our hearts with hope and reverence. Flowers and potted plants brighten corners and steps, and the coffee hour is a welcome place to visit with friends and fellow worshipers. Evergive, our foray into the digital world, will enable us to stay connected and to make new connections. It is an exciting and blessed time for St. Luke’s!
What will next year bring? To begin, we know we will approach our mission with renewed determination, new “Calls to Action” and deep gratitude for all that we have to share. We will extend our reach to even broader communities. We are excited to hear your thoughts and suggestions for what we should do more of or what we should do differently. We know that we have great opportunities and great responsibilities.
The mission to “Feed My Sheep” has struck a chord with each of us at St. Luke’s, and sharing our abundance has become a way of life for our parish. Please help us keep this momentum by making a generous gift to St. Luke’s this year.
