Volunteering in the Parish
The St. Luke's congregation supports the San Francisco Food Bank by donating non-perishable food each month. Please place donated food in a barrel located near the entrance to the church. Items needed per family are: 1 bag of pasta; 2 cans of vegetables; 1 can of tuna or chicken; 1 can of chili, soup, or chicken. No glass, please.
We are in need of light office assistance, from time to time. No experience necessary. Please contact our parish administrator, Birgit Jacobsen, at firstname.lastname@example.org , if you would like to contribute in this way. Your help is greatly appreciated !
St. Luke’s Altar Guild is looking for volunteers to join their small group of members. The Altar Guild works for the Rector in preparing the sacraments and the sanctuary for Wednesday and Sunday morning Eucharists, weddings, funerals, and baptisms. If interested and for more information, please contact the rector at email@example.com or Betsy Munz, Director of Altar Guild, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
St. Luke’s Flower Guild needs more members and assistance. No experience is necessary. We can pair you with one of the regular Flower Guild members to show you the basics regarding buying and arranging the flowers. St. Luke's generally covers the full cost of any flowers purchased. If you do not want to commit to a regular schedule (usually once every 4-6 weeks), the Flower Guild welcomes "guest florists" for a single Sunday. If you have any interest, questions or suggestions, please contact Sue Blomberg at email@example.com.
Please sign up to help assist during Coffee Hour. Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board by Dade Hall.
